FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Q. Once I renew my license, can I take the same online courses to fulfill my continuing education requirements?
A. Yes you can. The good news is, once you renew your license, you can use the Academy of Continuing Education for your continuing education needs, (which means you can again complete the same online courses already completed for the current renewal!!).
Q. Do I need to take the entire course all at once?
A. You can stop in the middle of the course (best time is at the end of a set of questions or at the beginning of the next lesson). You may resume whenever you want within one year. When you want to resume the course, you need to go to the "Take a Course" button, click on the green "Resume Course" button on your course and complete the course.
Q. Is there a test at the end?
A. Each course is divided into a number of lessons (between 8 and 12) followed by a quiz (between one and four questions in each quiz).
Q. How many courses can be taken online?
A. There is no limit as to the number of online courses you can take to fulfill your continuing education credits. 
Q. How long does it take for the credits to show on my PSI transcript ?
A. We are now able to do the PSI report on a weekly basis. If we are given notice that your license is expiring, we will attempt to report the credits before the expiration date. 
Q. Is there an average time period that each course will take to complete?
A. The two credit courses will average two hours. The three credit courses will average three hours to complete.
Q. How do I get started?
A. Log on to www.academyofcontinuinged.com and click on the desired category, then"Take a Course" button. You will be asked to create an account.  Click on the "BUY" button of a course you would like to take. This will turn into a "CHECKOUT" button which takes you to the payment screen. After paying, you will return to the chosen course and click on the "Begin Course" written in green letters. You advance through the text by hitting the "next" button. (You can also go back to review information by hitting the "back" button). Once you have completed the entire course, you will be able to print out a completion certificate. These are to be kept by you for your records.
Q. Can I take the course on my own schedule or must I take it immediately after paying for it?
A. You have up to one year to complete the course from the date you first sign on and pay for the course.
Q. Can I take an online course if I′ve already taken a live course with the same or similar name?
A. Yes you can. All of our online courses have new course numbers that will not conflict with any prior courses you may have taken.
Q. How do I pay for a course?
A. We accept all major credit cards. If you would like to send a check, please provide the name of the course or courses you would like to take. You will be enrolled and you will receive an email confirmation. You may also purchase multiple credits through our discount plan. The discount will be calculated in our system and the total will appear after choosing your courses.
